Research insight information about jewelry trends
In general, we will research trends based on popular marketplaces, such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay, and more.
We divide the research into 2 steps, which are macro and micro.

Macro research
- It is trying to understand the big picture of trendy jewelry at a specific time.
- This is an example of how we find it on Etsy.
- Etsy Journal and popular keyword tools can give us rough ideas.
- For Amazon and other marketplaces, we use different processes and tools.
Micro research
Looking at specific keywords.
The good one usually has a high search volume and low competition, such as the example in the picture.
3rd Step#
Check budget
Before sketching, we calculate the volume of the jewelry (and) the gemstone’s price.
If the price goes beyond our target audience’s interest, we will reduce the size or change the gemstones.
4th Step#
Sketching
After getting a concept for our collection, the design team will sketch pictures using their creativity.
5th Step#
CAD or Hand-Wax
- After getting a sketch, we will decide whether we will choose a wax craftsman or use a CAD maker.
- The decision will be made based on the designs themselves.
- Some designs are appropriate to make a mold by hand, but some should be made by CAD.
